How to optimize your Reiki session
The day you receive Reiki is a day that you give yourself true healing,
and your session is aimed at your most profound experience.

Before your session
Relax and Reflect your body & mind
Before the session, sit and reflect in a quiet space, mainly checking in to see how your body is feeling
and anything you notice regarding emotions, thoughts, or physical sensations.
Set your intention
You may reflect on any intentions requisite to set for your session and things you want to share with
your Reiki practitioner.

Reminders
- Refrain from heavy meals, salty snacks, sugary products, caffeine, alcohol, and THC products at least three hours before the session
- Wear comfortable clothes but not jeans
- Wear no necklaces, earrings, and wrist watch but rings and pierces are ok
- Affirmation to receive a divine healing session
- Turn off electrical devices before coming into the healing space
After your session
Take time to get up from the treatment table and gradually return to reality. After leaving the session, be aware that as your body system moves more optimally, your sensation and perception are focused inward. Slow down, rest, be patient, and be gentle with yourself. Drink plenty of water. Spend time in a quiet environment. Take a nap. You are urged to let go of unnecessary activities and to focus on self-renewal for the rest of the day. Give yourself time to revive and rejuvenate. Promise to treat you with the self-respect and care that you deserve. If you can, cancel your appointments for the rest or part of the day. No rushing or time urgency is allowed for the rest of the day.

Many of the treatment benefits can occur as soon as the session ends, and they continue to develop in the recipient’s body and mind. As such, finding somewhere quiet and relaxing to integrate what may arise is essential.

After the Reiki healing session, it's essential to hydrate, so drink 1-2 glasses of water after your session. Adding electrolytes or fresh lemon juices to your water can also be helpful, as they help replenish the body.
