Is there talking during the session?
Usually, a session is done without talking, and the practitioner may have soft ambient music playing in the background to aid in your relaxation. If you want to communicate something to your practitioner during the session, speak up anytime. For instance, if you are cold or too warm, if you would like them to adjust the music, if you are feeling a sensation, you would like to discuss if something feels uncomfortable to you, if you have a question or issue, etc. Your Reiki practitioner wants to make your session the best possible experience for you.

What will I feel during the session?
Most clients feel a sense of relaxation and peace.
The mind may feel calm, and your physical body should feel relaxed.
You may feel heat or warmth where practitioners place their palms, which is a significant indication
of the Reiki energy flowing through your practitioner to your body.
Some people see colors, mystic shapes, and actual images and even experience a sensation of floating.
You may cough, or your belly may gurgle as if you were hungry.
This is all from the Reiki energy working on you.
Depending on what your body harbors, you may have an emotional release and cry.

during your session, and everyone experiences differently.

Is one session enough or will I need a series of sessions?
One session is a great start. You will see for yourself how Reiki makes you feel.
After the initial session and exploring the benefits of Reiki, most people choose to continue a series of treatments to work progressively on their wellness goals.
Not to mention that consistency with Reiki is a vital key as well.
Most of our clients take a Reiki session once a month for their wellness maintenance,
but some may need more frequent treatments to improve their symptoms.
Post-session, you and the practitioner can discuss the best plan
for you individually and what you intend to accomplish.

What happens after the session?
Do not expect a diagnosis, as that is not part of Reiki.
Some practitioners may make common sense suggestions for after-care,
Such as drinking water and following your body's needs.
Also, your practitioner may ask you to provide feedback after the session,
To plan for your next session. It is up to you to share or not.
Although people typically leave a Reiki session feeling refreshed,
Sometimes, they notice feeling more tired later in the evening than usual.
Not to worry. It is not an adverse reaction but rather the body's natural healing response,
something to be heeded that we call it “Cleansing Reaction.”
To facilitate your healing process, I suggest you drink plenty of water,
minimize social activities, avoid social media, and rest in a quiet environment
After all, people commonly report a sense of calm and mental clarity and sleeping well.
